Horror trailer idea

Narrative Structure: My film starts with a young girl who has recently come back from a stint in a lunatic asylum. She lives with her family, but knows that they are wary around her. She was admitted to the asylum when she was just 15 because after the death of her best friend Sam, she lost her mind and couldn’t deal with the pain anymore. Her name is Meretta Vergette and she is 18 years old.

She lives in a small village with her parents. She seems like she has come back to her normal mind, but her old problems start to creep up on her with disastrous consequences. She starts having visions again , and seeing shadows creeping towards her and hearing voices. There is nowhere that she can hide; she starts to wonder if maybe her best friend is trying to communicate with her.  One day however, she is sitting by herself in the forest near her house when she feels herself being pulled away mentally by an evil entity leaving her unconscious body on the floor . She is rushed to hospital; no one knows that she is locked inside a parallel universe.  They all think that she is in a self-induced coma which is not the case. She tries valiantly to escape from this world inside her head. She is seeing horrors upon horrors, nightmare worlds, demons. Sam suddenly manages to find  (and rescue her) just as a soul stealer was advancing on her, thus saving her from eternal damnation. Sam and Meretta hug and they are suddenly in a graveyard, we see them walking hand in hand (smiling) towards a tomb from which a bright light is emerging. Sam steps in but just as Meretta is about to, she is grabbed by another demon, she screams but Sam has already disappeared inside and she is dragged away. The film ends with Sam sitting with his head in his hands and a shot of Meretta's body lying alone in the hospital bed, we see the heart rate lines gradually stop. Everything fades to black, but then we see a shot of Meretta screaming surrounded by hideous demons.

Genre: I would say that this is a psychological horror.

Props and costumes: Meretta(costume): Black jeans, dark top and long dark cloak, platforms. Meretta (props): Notebook, pen, iPod, switchblade. Paula(costume): Long skirt, blouse, brogues. Paula (props): Mobile, purse. Derick(costume): Glasses, slacks, plaid shirt and lace up shoes (not trainers). Derick(props): Phone, wallet. Sam(costume): Blue jeans, band t-shirt, converse. Sam(props): N/a.
